An 88-foot-high lion's head is found at the entrance to the MGM Grand Las Vegas, officially named the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. There's also a Grand Pool Complex, complete with lush tropical landscaping, five pools, a meandering river, and several picturesque bridges, fountains, and numerous waterfalls.

MGM Grand Casino and Hotel Has A Lot to Offer

The MGM Grand offers a number of amenities and services, including tour packages, business centers, a golf desk, a wedding chapel, and free covered parking. There's a great variety of entertainment, shopping, eating, gambling, and pampering opportunities available here.

The Lion's Habitat

One not-to-be-missed sight at the MGM Grand is the Lion's Habitat, which features a multi-level, glass-enclosed area for public viewing of these magnificent beasts (where you can watch them feed, play, and sleep).

Accommodations: MGM Grand and The Signature at MGM Grand

With over 5000 deluxe rooms and suites, this large, modern complex is a great place to stay, right on the Strip. And the rooms are among the largest that you'll find in Las Vegas. Even the standard rooms (in the Grand Tower) are about 450 square feet in size and are equipped with a large, black and white marble bathroom and tastefully decorated bedroom. There are also larger, more luxurious accommodations offered, such as those found in the Celebrity Spa Suites, Glamour Suites, and Skylofts (located at the top of the MGM Grand - and offering particularly luxurious amenities and service).

Looking for newer, more posh rooms? Try the Signature at MGM Grand Las Vegas. Connected by a walkway to the main hotel, Signature has a private gated entrance, 24-hour concierge and a wide array of luxury amenities. The Signature at MGM Grand offers junior, one and two-bedroom suites for guests.

Entertainment

The MGM Grand Las Vegas offers a variety of grand entertainment, including the brilliantly acrobatic and energetic "KA Cirque du Soleil" show. "La Femme" is an adult-oriented show that features showgirls from the original Crazy Horse in Paris. "Studio 54" reincarnates the legendary New York nightclub. The rather intimate Hollywood Theatre presents such legendary headliners as singer Tom Jones, magician David Copperfield, and comic Howie Mandel. And the larger Grand Avenue Arena hosts premier special events (such as championship boxing matches and the U.S. Open Supercross) and mega-concerts (featuring such musical entertainers as Bette Midler, Billy Joel, Elton John, and the Rolling Stones).

Dining

With over a dozen restaurants, there is surely something for every palate and pocketbook. For example, the Studio Café offers casual dining and light snacks, and the reasonably priced Rainforest Café allows families to enjoy dining amid a setting of lush vegetation, cascading waterfalls, and sudden thunderstorms - and there's also a 10,000 gallon double archway saltwater aquarium for your viewing pleasure. The large MGM Grand Buffet offers a wide range of delicious foods daily (often including turkey, prime rib, rack of lamb, and Alaskan king crab legs). And for more intimate dining, there's l'Atelier du Joel Robuchon and Joel Robuchon at The Mansion (where this legendary chef offers fine French cuisine).

Babysitting

The Youth Activity Center provides supervised activities for children (ages 3-12), and this provides a great opportunity for children to play while the parents try their luck in the Casino.

Pampering, MGM Grand Style

For those who want to be pampered, try the Christopher Salon (where an internationally trained team of stylists and colorists will provide top-notch service) or the Grand Spa (where you're surrounded by graceful sculptures, running water, and soothing music). Either will help to refresh and rejuvenate you.
